Created began as a response to question I could not ignore.

Years ago, a conversation with a friend challenge assumptions I had long held about faith, creation, and human will.  What began as a personal attempt to think more carefully about those questions gradually grew into something larger.  Not an argument, and not a defense, but a story designed to slow the reader down and explore those questions honestly.

Rather than approaching theology as a system to be explained, Created approaches it as a landscape to be entered.  The story is set before the creation of the world and follows the events surrounding the rise and fall of Lucifer, the nature of obedience and rebellion, and the conditions under which love, worship and freedom can exist at all.

The book was written with both believers and skeptics in mind.  It does not assume agreement, and it does not attempt to force conclusions.  Its aim is to invite reflection, to surface tensions often left unexplored, and to create space for thoughtful engagement with ideas that are usually rushed past or simplified.

A second, revised edition of Created:  The Devil's Apprentice is currently in development.  This revision reflects years of additional writing, refinement, and careful consideration of the questions that originally gave rise to the story.
